All M3 Mokume, Damascus and Pattern Metals are now available as "Bookmatched Sets" in "Face", "Side" and "Burl"(Swirly) grain patterns. These magnificent "Bookmatched Sets" are perfect for knife handles, gun grips, musical instrument inlays, pool cue inlays and many other creative applications. M3 is the only metal that can be cut by a CO2 Laser making inlays, custom branding and lettering in metal both practical and affordable.
Bookmatching allows a level of consistency to large editions produced with M3. All M3 patterns are random, but the various grain patterns will all share similarities even over a large number of parts.

This video will give you an idea of what a finished "Bookmatched Set" should look like. M3 acheives a "Deep Mirror" finish with nothing more than a good "P" grade sandpaper and our 2 part Premium Metal Polish (PMP) in 10 easy steps. Sand 150, 180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, clean with 0000 Steel Wool and then polish with PMP part A and B. You know you have the best possible finish when you can't see any surface scratches with a 10x loop.
